The Harmony Family Centre is a health and well being service for members of the black and ethnic minority community.
Harmony
delivers services which are non- stigmatising, therapeutic and
culturally appropriate to people from black and minority ethnic
communities with mental health support needs.
We seek to
actively promote the holistic well being of the Black and Minority
Ethnic communities who use our services and will work across different
cultures to offer alternative models of intervention to relieve their
mental distress.
Domestic Violence Perpetrator Programme (DVPP)
Our DVP Programme is suitable for male perpetrators of domestic violence who are assessed as being of medium to high risk of re-offending and harming current or previous female partners. At the Harmony Family Centre (HFC) our aim is to help these men to examine and explore their beliefs, both positive and negative. Offenders with limited English, literacy problems, or who are in complete denial may be unsuitable for this programme.
